This is dedicated to my brother and sis-in-law who are graduating on Saturday. Congrats Kurt and Kristie!
The road you’ve traveled has been a long one
With many bumps and detours on the way
You have experienced sweat and tears
To reach your goal of today
With your Diploma in one hand
And your Teaching License in the other
You are starting the path you chose
Of service always; in the teaching of another
Good Luck and Congratulations
As your journey continues on
May it fill your heart and soul
This role of Teacher you soon don

School Poem
For Reading week at the elementary, my oldest Raiden, is supposed to have a poem ready to read at all times. This is what we came up with, keep in mind his age....
I’m in kindergarten
I love my bulldog school.
Our mascot is so great,
I proudly yell, “We rule!”

Summer
Summer is here, the heat pours in
Sweat trickles down your head.
The fan whirs on, ruffling the curtains
No breeze to cool the bed.
It oppresses one and all, equality achieved
As the summer heat reigns strong.
Its kingdom soon might topple, as the clouds gather
Wind finally blows, a storm has come along.

A go of things
I didn't really want my poetry on my family blog, or even on mine. Those are kind of dedicated to family things. I wanted somewhere that I could post my poetry. Whether it be good, bad, corny, funny or whatever else it might come across as. I want it to be ITS space and nobody else's. Sometimes you need that.
So lets see how this goes. I might never post again, or I might have a Bible's worth of stuff on here before you know it. Hopefully this will prompt me to keep writing and to enjoy it.
